Longaberger® Baskets are making special appearances at the 2012 Skowhegan State Fair! *
Orders are now being taken for the 2012 Skowhegan State Fair Basket. This beautiful Rich Brown American Handcrafted Bronze Leaf Long Oval Basket has been exclusively adorned with a brass tag that says “Skowhegan State Fair, Est. 1818 ”. Cost is $89. A protector can also be purchased for $20 (if you want a protector, get it with your basket, as this is a retired item) There is collection of Longaberger Nature’s Tradition Stoneware Pottery specifically designed to coordinate with this basket. Contact your consultant for details! Baskets can be picked up at the Flower Show Building noon-8 daily.

YOU may register to make your OWN Longaberger Basket at the Skowhegan State Fair! For a cost of $64.95 you may pre-register to make your own Longaberger Warm Brown Medium Metropolitan Basket with green trim splint --- make one with your child, grand child, or for someone special! This experience will be limited to 56 participants. Each consultant that works at the fair will have slots available. For more information or to schedule a time contact Barb Arnold at 207-474-6325. Make-a-Basket experience will be available for the first SEVEN days of the fair this year (Thursday, August 11 though Wednesday, August 15th).
Master Longaberger Basketmaker Demonstration
Join us Thursday through Thursday from noon – 3:00 and from 4:30 - 7 p.m. to watch exclusive Longaberger Baskets being hand crafted by a Longaberger Basketmaker from Dresden, Ohio. Baskets being made will be given away to customers joining the Longaberger Company to begin their own business, as door prizes, and used in the Fair’s fund raising activities!
Longaberger Collector Club™ Member Event
A special invitation is extended to Longaberger Collector Club™ members to attend an exclusive event on Saturday, August 11th from 10 – 11:00 at The Flower Show Building. Special time will be spent with a Longaberger Master Basketmaker, a silent auction will be held, refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given away every 15 minutes! Each Collector Club Member may bring guests to the event. Contact your local Longaberger Consultant for information regarding tickets to attend this exciting event!

Basket Bingo Fund Raisers
Three Basket Bingos have been scheduled to raise money for local fund raisers and charities. Join us for some fun on Saturday, August 11 that 11:30, Sunday, August 12th at 11:30 and on Saturday, August 18st at 11:30. Ten games for $9.99 – plus a few surprises! If there is no Bingo Tent, these events will be held under the grandstands.
